Welcome, Boston, Massacusetts area DotNetNuke Users

The DotNetNuke Boston User Group is dedicated to the design, development, and use of DotNetNuke - the leading web content management system (CMS) and application development platform for Microsoft .NET. Our group is a mix of designers, developers and end users with one thing in common - we all use DotNetNuke in one way or another, and we freely share our knowledge about how to get the most out of the platform.

At our next meeting on May 8, 2012

Steve Fabian / Web Developer’s Toolbox

As a web developer today, the choices of technologies and open source libraries are overwhelming. It’s impossible to keep up with all of them, but there is a short list that every web developer should be familiar with. This presentation will get you started on compiling your developer ‘toolbox’. We’ll talk about core technologies like Entity Framework, WCF Data Services as well as open source libraries such as jQuery, Knockout.js,. data.js, css frameworks, etc and how to use the Gooddogs Technology Template and the NUGET package manager to discover, install and use these libraries in your DotNetNuke module projects.

Steve is a DotNetNuke core development team member and 5-time Microsoft MVP in the ASP.NET category. He of course is the author of the very popular Repository module for DotNetNuke. And if you missed him last year, here is your chance to not kick yourself for missing him again. Steve has a great wealth of knowledge and incredible diversity of skills.
